What is the cost?Initial Costs are:
Non-Refundable, Admissions Fee of $2,000
Monthly Program Fee: $7,500 per month ($250/day).

What is included in the monthly tuition cost?

• Room and Board
• Weekly one-on-one and group therapeutic counseling.
• Daily supervision and program support from MTCYR Staff.
• Individual tutoring for academic performance.
• Health and nutrition training
• Accredited Individualized Education Curriculum
• Matthew Kelly’s “Living Your Life With Passion and Purpose” Curriculum
• Workbook for overcoming substance abuse for student
• Access to year round sports center
• Natural Horsemanship training
• Equine Therapy
• Daily devotional books and materials
• Love And Logic family life coaching for the student's family members






What is NOT included?
• Un-approved phone use charges
• Individual educational plan related costs not already included
• Health care insurance and medical needs
• Family members stay at more than one-multi day visit per each 90 days

What kind of counseling is available? Individual counseling is offered for behavioral health and drug/alcohol problems, and is scheduled for once a week or as needed. We also provide guided group therapy up to 2 times a week.

 What are the requirements for admission to your Catholic Therapeutic Residential Youth Ranch?
A. Complete required phone interview to see if we are the best placement for your son.
B. Read and fill out the application interview.
C. Arrange transportation to get your son to MTCYR.
D. Read required manuals and admission application return completed forms to the business office on or before the date of your son’s admission.

What are the ages of the Troubled Youth you serve?
MTCYR serves young men between the ages of 12-17.

What kind of troubled youth does MTCYR Ranch Benefit?
During the phone interview our admissions director will ask you a few simple questions to determine eligibility of your boy to our MTCYR. Eligibility will be determined by taking a history of your boy's behavior. In most instances eligibility will be determined immediately.

When do you take applications for your MTCYR?
Applications are processed year round.

How long does it take to process an application?
It could happen quickly depending on how long it takes to fill out the application, and send your deposit to reserve your son's space. Usually three days to a week.

What is the duration of your Catholic Therapeutic Residential Youth Ranch Program?
Depends on the student’s needs, but a minimum of ninety days and a maximum of eighteen months.

Do all the troubled youth on the ranch attend school?
Depends on the length of stay of the troubled teen and parents wishes..



What curriculum is used in your School for Troubled Teens?
We use the nationally accredited Seton Home Study Program, Christian-based and the Nationally Accredited Our Lady of the Rosary home study program; which offers complete teacher services, texts, lesson plans, workbooks, tests, grading and diplomas etc. Recently we have added an fully Accredited Online media rich school option named Park City Independent Academy.

What is your religious affiliation?
We are a Catholic family: however we respect all Faiths.

Will my son attend Church services? Yes all the young men at MTCYR attend the weekly Catholic Mass at Our Lady Of The Valley Parish, a few miles from the ranch. We all attend as a family community. If your son is not Catholic he will still attend mass so as to grow spiritually from the reading of scripture and the words of encouragement from the priest.

Is church attendance mandatory?
Yes.

Will you take a troubled youth that is addicted to drugs?
Yes.

Will MTCYR dispense medications to my son?
Yes.

Is there an airport near the ranch?
Yes, the nearest airports are in Cody, Wyoming or Billings, Montana.

What form of discipline is used in your MTCYR?
We use the Love And Logic Approach that encourages the troubled teen to take responsibility for his own actions and choices. This is positive incentive based system of activities and responsibilities that encourages growth in virtue and the formation of sound moral principles.

Is MTCYR a licensed facility?
MTCYR is licensed as a group home by the state of Wyoming, Department of Family Services. We are a non-profit organization with a governing board of directors.
All fees cover in-house counseling, tutoring, twenty four hour supervision, room and board, academic classes, personal hygiene products, use of horse, saddle and all tack he will use during his stay at the ranch, all bedding and laundry facilities, use of all outdoor gear, tent and camping gear etc..
